Artist Statement

My art is a conversation between cultures, memories, and emotions.

Born in Accra, Ghana, and shaped by life between Ghana and Switzerland, I have always lived between worlds. This dual heritage profoundly influences my work, inspiring me to explore identity, belonging, femininity, movement, and the connections that unite us across cultures and generations.

Through oil, gouache, and ink, I create paintings that tell stories beyond words. Rich colours, expressive brushwork, and layered textures allow me to capture not only what is seen, but also what is felt. Whether portraying vibrant African scenes, tranquil Swiss landscapes, the strength and grace of women, or the elegance of golf in motion, my intention is to create work that resonates on a deeply human level.

Art has been part of my life since childhood. I loved drawing and creating stories long before I understood that painting would become an essential part of who I am. Although my professional path led me to work for several years with a specialised United Nations agency in Geneva, creativity remained a constant presence. Returning fully to painting allowed me to reconnect with my roots, my memories, and my passion for visual storytelling.

My artistic development was further enriched through study and mentorship under Swiss artist Paul Delapoterie, whose guidance helped deepen my understanding of artistic expression and technique.

Today, from my studio in the canton of Vaud, Switzerland, I create original paintings and commissioned works that celebrate heritage, identity, and the stories that unite us across cultures, generations, and passions. Every piece reflects my philosophy of "Painting Between Worlds". An invitation to journey through memory, culture, sport, nature, and the shared experiences that connect us all.

My hope is that each painting offers a moment of recognition, reflection, or inspiration, allowing viewers to discover their own stories within the work.

Our world is a beautiful canvas. Through my art, I strive to add a little sparkle to it.
